Highlight Projects

This is one of our larger projects this year that we would like to share some of the in-progress views as well as some of our decisions as to what direction to take in completing the design for the client.

This is the front view of one of our on-going major residential projects in Muskegon. This magnificent home will be featured in the West Michigan Parade of homes. Almost everything in this home will have automation as well as other features that make it a showcase of what can be done. Cameras were added discreetly all around the home to make it easy to see every corner of the estate. A digital PVR records all motion as well. All cameras and pvr recordings can be viewed at any location in the home including the shower.

The Bridge garage has a all-wood ceiling that contains recessed lighting, all of which is controlled from a two-panel hybrid vantage lighting system. The bridge garage contains a scenepoint dimmer for efficiency that controls the garage lights, front and read soffit lights as well as floodlights for the motor court yard.

The Great room fireplace will have a built-in 50” plasma recessed above the fireplace. An automation system for control will also vent the fireplace from a fan located in the lower mechanical room. Extensive prep work was needed to prepare for the plasma television for a completely hidden wires, components, and venting.

The tricky part of this great room media center installation was not the inset of the 50 inch plasma display but hiding the multiple media components in the cabinets while maintaining optimum cooling. The Plasma has a custom ducted cooling system installed with whisper silent fans located in the basement to send filtered air to the plasma as well as draw away any heat to protect the display from temperature extremes.

Interior view of the great room. Notice the lack of huge electrical switch boxes on the wall. The Vantage bright style switches take up one box space, yet are able to control All of the circuits necessary with simple scene buttons. The area has a fountain, recessed floor heat, Foyer light, Hall light, stair lights in the wall and ceiling, fans, reading lights, cabinet lights, main lights, fireplace lights, fireplace control and more. Without a lighting control system, the walls would be an eyesore of Wall switches.

We won 1st place and recieved a best home award for homes $500,000 and up. in the Shoreline Builders Assoc. parade of homes in the Western Michigan area.)

The kitchen has one of two Touch panels for the Vantage Lighting system. Different modes can be set as well as lighting throughout the home controlled. Background music in this area, as well as video for the built-in LCD above the Refrigerator is also easily controlled from this touch panel. Video from the security cameras is also viewable from the touch panel or displayed on the 23 inch LCD.

Total Entertainment or information is available to the homeowners with this 10 inch shower monitor. Security, TV, DVD, PC stock ticker, or even the game that is on throughout the house can be enjoyed on this waterproof monitor that is built into the tile. Control of the Russound whole house multimedia system is achieved from either the touch panel in the bedroom, UNO2 keypad in the bathroom or the waterproof remote in the shower. A second 15 inch LCD monitor over the whirlpool bath can also show the same information or video.

The game room and Theater are the crown jewels of this home. Located upstairs above the garage and kitchen it provides a down home place to relax with the family and friends. Video in the theater is available on the 27 inch monitor in the Game room, so you don't miss a thing when you go to get a popcorn refill or a fresh soda.
